In World of Warcraft’s latest expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, players would get to travel to the frozen continent of Northrend to help its inhabitants fight the evil Scourge and ultimately rid the land and the whole of Azeroth of the bane that is called the Lich King. If you’re character is aligned with the Alliance, one of the major factions that you will be joining is the powerful group known as the Valiance Expedition. Led by no other than King Varian Wrynn, King of Azeroth’s greatest and most enduring human city, Stormwind, the faction is the main force that is moving towards Northrend to end the Lich King’s reign of terror. Under the king’s command are Azeroth’s main Alliance armies, the Humans, the Dwarves, the High Elves, the Night Elves, the Gnomes, and even the Draenei. With such an impressive army, there’s no wonder that the faction is going to be a major force to contend with.
If you are an Alliance player and you want to find where this faction makes their plans and strategies while in the Northrend continent, then you better head to the following locations:
* Valiance Keep – this is the the main base or stronghold of the Valiance Expedition. It is found in the Borean Tundra, and it is the continent’s main Alliance area. To reach it, you have to take a steamship from Stormwind Harbor to Borean Tundra. Make sure to be cautious while your there. The keep is under constant attack by the forces of the Scourge.
* Westguard Keep – located in the steep heights of the Howling Fjord, this settlement has a high population of humans and Dwarves.
* Wintergarde Keep – this keep is located in the desolate land called Dragonblight. Another city in constant attack by the Scourge, it is best to be careful when heading there.
* Fordragon Hold -a fortress belonging to the Alliance, this base can be found in the northern region of Dragonblight.
The leader of the Valiance Expedition faction, Varian Wrynn, will play several key roles for Alliance players. Make sure to seek him out. He will lead the battle against the Warsong Offensive in the epic battle in the Strands of the Ancients. He will also end the quests for Death Knights, giving them the option to join the Alliance. Many more Alliance specific quests will be given by the King, so you only need to seek him out to get them. It’s going to be easy. Just go to Stormwind Keep and search for the Throne Room. You will find him seated on the throne, with the former king on his side. Fighting for this faction will definitely give you a lot of rewards and action. Have fun!
